On April 30, 1945, Adolph Hitler committed suicide by gunshot in his bunker. Eva Braun, his wife he married the previous day, died by ingesting cyanide.

I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I can't help but to feel sorry for Hitler. Even though the things he did were horrible, he was a human being after all. I guess he just wanted to get rid of his misery after losing the war.. And his wife? I have nothing to say ...

How pathetic of him. Instead of facing actual justice like the rest of his Nazi comrades, he just shot himself.

I agree with Linh..he had to be a pretty messed up guy to do all of the terrible things be did. Committing suicide was very cowardly of him. I wonder if he did it because he actually had a conscious and felt bad, or if he was scared of what would get done to him when found.
