Dr. Carlizzle
I woke up this morning with the worst headache i've ever had. It hurt to move. Did I miss anything too important today?

Chris, you missed some debate pwnage, and some intense carnage...

Oh and 2nd period would beat 3rd period in dodge ball anyday, probably history grades too...

Boys and girls,

As much as I would love a class war, lets keep anonymous posts to a minimum. Please remember parents, teachers, and administrators read this blog. I would like to keep profanity off of the blog. Also no mention of grades unless you want to mention your own.

I had to censor(i.e., delete some comments). Sorry. Third period, I want to see some more of that fire in class!

Chris,

You missed notes, the Amendment debate, and two very important readings were distributed. If your parents are coming either tonight or tomorrow I could give the readings to them.

If they don't get picked up you will lose out on some serious points on Monday. We're having a graded discussion on Monday. If you don't have the readings you can't participate. No participation means no grade. I will exempt you from the graded discussion. Essentially the grade won't hurt but it won't HELP your grade either.

Hey Carlisle.

You would be really proud of me. I biked 10 miles this morning. How cool is that?

And which libraries do you suggest to look for sources? Any secrets on how to get the most help from librarians? I heard Devin and Cat say that you told them something, and it really helped them find sources...

Matt,

Impressive on the biking. In the rain too? Wow.

Depeding on your topic I would start at the Tigard Public Library. Central library for Multnomah Co. is good too. You may want to check PSU or Lewis and Clark as well.

Just tell the reference librarians that you are a THS student and they will go out of their way to help you. Good luck.

I was wondering if were were allowed to use our text books for a secondary source? Spencer Moyle said that you said we could. Others, however, have said differently. I wanted to make sure it was ok or see if it wasn't. You're probably going to conferences soon so if you don't get this message before you leave, I'll just ask you there. By the way, who would win in class debate, 2nd or 3rd period?

Max,

I would prefer that you don't use your textbook as a source.

Debate btw your class and third period, second period because they actually TALK.

Maybe so, but our class is smarter. Didn't you say no one was failing in our class?

Second period has spirit, they have heart and soul... They fight with vengeance and passion! Their superiority is unchallengeable! The very way their raise their hands to answer questions makes kings bow to their knees! Their beautiful absorption of the knowledge bestowed upon them is beyond the boundaries of mere 3rd perioders! And their history facts calm crying babies and make them coo...

That is why 2nd period will live or eternity as the best of the best, especially better than 3rd period...

Being smarter doesn't mean a thing. It's already been decided by the grand master that 2nd would win a debate. Meaning that we would pwn you at everything. My mom is real real busy and if I get time I can run to the school and grab the readings.

Chris,

You also owe me a reading quiz for Tuesday's night reading. You can either make it up today when you come by the school or Monday.

I'm in my room from 8-11 today.

The two stances on "Were the framers democratic reformers?" are really confusing to me. I was reading the NO stance last night and I didn't understand how it was different from the YES. What is a democratic reformer? What are the 2 main differences between the YES and NO? I read the postscript but that didn't help much.

Bad Charlotte,

There are some differences btw the two readings. Young spends the first part of the reading describing why the Found Fathers were not very democratic. Read over that part again. Once you've done that, look at the part of the reading where Young talks about exorcising some ghosts. There were four big events that preceded the writing of the Constitution that gave the Framers grave concerns.

Read that part again. Fortunately you're back to the text next week. Hope this helps.
