I know I'm not in your Psychology class but WOW, that is REALLY interesting! If Architecture doesn't work out for me I've always wanted to be a Psychological Counselor. I'm addicted to shows like this- yesterday I watched this really neat documentary on the characteristics of OCD.

Hi. It's Julia from third B day. The one who wears tie-dye and puts her books on her head. Just saying that I am allright. I am sorry for walking out on the class like that, but I really was about to pass out. (tunnel vision is not fun, I get panic attacks) I don't handle surgery well. Or impalings, or needles. I'm OK with the mention and a brief description of what happened but the video got into too much detail for me. Sorry about the scare, I really don't blame you, please don't feel bad. I need to get to bed, so I'll see you in class on monday.

Julia out.

So what if a person only had thier left eye and had this operation..or people who only have one eye does that alter anything? does the right side see things the left doesn't notice and store them then tell us things in our dreams. or when you dream about someone you only saw for a second but the dream has a clear over all appearance of that persons face.. is that connected?

Great question Cat. Even if a person only had vision in one eye, their brain would still see the word. However, the side of the brain that controls speech could say the particular word that appears on the screen. I will explain this in full detail on Tuesday. Have a good weekend.

This is incredible! It is amazing to see how he can see pictures only on one side of the brain when the photo is shown to him, yet if it is shown on the opposite side he cannot see it. I don't understand how he can draw the picture though, when clearly he did not understand that it was on the screen. That is absolutely bizzare, but very fascinating to watch and observe!

As sad as it may be, I think it is cool how you can name a object and then draw a different object. This clip is very interesting.

Carlisle, you'll have to explain the whole drawing thing in detail tomorrow! But don't talk about it until I'm finished with the university presentation and I get to class because I want to hear it! =) good night

I think that its so interesting in how they can change someone a lot. I think its cool how you can help someone who is having that bad of problems. Its interesting how a even picking out a shirt can be difficult. Not being able to see something like a word but having your brain control the fact you can write it, makes me wonder what other things they can do to alter the brain.

Sincerely, malamphy
