Cabrini Green Housing Projects

The buildings look so small even though the articles called them "large apartments".
From the outside, it still looks like it's very cramped.

I don't know how anyone could live in those cramped quarters or in those conditions. I guess I'm kind of spoiled but it would drive me insane. I'd probably end up assaulting someone.

living in close quarters with lots of people you know is hard enough, but living with tons of pepole you dont know, when your poor and are probably cranky all the time definatly means trouble. and the new buildings do look kinda small, even if they are supposidly new

The Chicago Housing Authority seemed to have good intentions when they destroyed "Little Hell" and built the Frances Cabrini Homes. Except the CHA failed when they turned a blind eye when the houses started to deteriorate and when the housing area needed more money. The CHA also didn't seem to plan out the end results very well; they could build nice houses for the people there but they couldn't change the racial segregation the people felt.

ya i can't even imagine living in these apartments. On every floor there's probably at least 10 or more gang members. I would be scared to death.
