I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

Watchmen is awesome. It's the only comic book...er graphic novel that I have read, and the only one I plan on reading, but it was fantastic.
I'm pretty sure the movie will not do it justice.

You are limiting yourself my friend. You should definitely read V for Vendetta, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and Y:The Last Man. I can recommend more if you'd like.

V for Vendetta was a great movie and I bet the book would be good. I'm just not into superhero stuff like most comics are. That's why Watchmen was awesome. It wasn't about superheros with heightened senses of morality that defeated the mutant bad guys. It also had actual round characters rather than some caped crusader spewing out one-liners.

None of the graphic novels I cited in my previous post revolve around superheroes.

everything seemed to make so much sense, until i found out that that blue guy gives people cancer AND turn into a car. those powers have no connection at all. this very much irritates me.
