Do you like Spoon? They're coming next Friday, but they're coming to the Crystal..

Going back to the Roseland last weekend made me realize how much more I like that venue than the Crystal.

Hope you and your argyle socks have a good weekend, sir.

Narintohn,

I'm not really a Spoon fan. Tried listening to their music once and didn't like it.

The Roseland and the Aladdin Theater are my two favorite music venues. The Crystal is LAME. Bad sight lines and a poor sound system don't help much.

I have never been to the Aladdin Theater.

Yeah a lot of the bands I like choose to play at the Crystal for some reason. =/

Okay, so if Andrew Bird or Wilco come to Portland and choose to play at the Crystal, would you still go??

Both. I am going to the Crystal for two shows this spring already. I can't pass up great music because the venue is horrible.

I do listen to the FFs and have their album. However, I'm not going to see them. I'm going to see Bonnie "Prince Bill" aka Will Oldham in March and The Avett Brothers in May.

Alex,

Like I said in class, once you start it you can't finish it. The scary part is that it reads like fiction.

Dear anonymous commenter,

No offense was meant. If YOU have anything else to say about the matter don't do it anonymously. I tend to delete those comments.

Hot zone is pretty gross, nothing too exciting has happened for me yet though. I had to snowboard all day today so I didn't get a lot of reading in otherwise I'm sure I would have hit that crucial part in the book.

I can't wait to see what happens to the housewive/veterinarian/army soldier/kung fu master/level 4 hot agent handler.

p.s. book club(alex)?

Whoa, I've never had students actually read a book that I suggested. I would love to hear more of your thoughts as you read the book. Nice!

Book club? Definitely, Adam.

And I agree, Carlisle. The details are raw, with every color and substance so vividly described that you yourself want to vomit. I love this book, though. I get the goosebumps everytime I remind myself that I got this out of the non-fiction section.
