Please give some thought to the non-violent philosophy espoused by Dr. King and the separatist philosophy of Malcolm X and the Nation of Islam. We will have a discussion in class tomorrow about those competing philosophies and the tactics of direct action. This discussion will be a good way to help shore up one's participation grade. I may delay my lecture on Vietnam until Tuesday. Vietnam OHP presentations SHOULD be ready for tomorrow. Thanks and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I missed a chance to say this in class but affirmative action actually disadvantages some Asians from getting admitted to some colleges because only certain percentage of that college's student body can be Asians. Thus, I agree with Jack that the affirmative action should be based on socioeconomic status.
