Apparently They Marched Into Sunglight is being made into a feature film:

A feature film could be AMAZING, especially if they get Paul Greengrass to direct. I love his work. I may show you guys United 93 once we get to 9/11.

I think the documentary today was really eye opening, especially the way the police treated the students, fellow American people and beat them because of their views. This violates the 1st amendment freedom of speech, and since the police decided to go and violate others amendments because of their patriotic views it is terrible. I don't think patriotic points of view should go above the rights of other fellow American people.

I also wanted to say that I believe everyone is affected by every film you show in class, just sometimes they may not know how it affects them or it may not be a huge life changing experience. I believe no one ever walks into and leaves the classroom the same person. Everything one does every day changes them even if it doesn't seem like it, it does.

Thanks Isabella. I don't think every thing I do and show in class is amazing, however, some of the stuff from the last three units is some of my favorite material in American history.

The larger point I was trying to make today is that as a teacher, I don't really know how the material we cover in class is affecting or will affect you in the long run. I just hope that you guys are thinking about some of the larger issues that the video I showed today and the one I will show tomorrow will bring up.
