I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

This is really cool to see the whole journey andthe way the canal looks.

I agree that it is really cool! But I think I would only enjoy seeing ships go through there if it were to actually happen that fast, and when talking about it in class I just imagined it being way wider.

It's cool that it was built 100 years ago. It must have taken thousands to build a canal that wide and go through that terrain and then build those massive locks.

That is so long, but like Nick t imagined it wider. How did anyone swim through that? That's a long way.

Wow that is really cool. It's so crazy how there are gates that open to let a boat through after the boat has been lowered. It's also amazing that it takes that long to go through the entire thing.

This would be so cool to visit. I am pretty sure i will be there one day.
