INTERNAL ASSESSMENT

History students,

***THE THS LIBRARY WEBSITE IS WITH THE OTHER LINKS UNDER MY PROFILE.***

I hope your bibliographies are coming together nicely. Let me clear up some confusion right now about your bibliography-- YOU CANNOT USE YOUR TEXTBOOK AS A SOURCE.

Please don't forget to read both readings I gave you as well as complete the questions for the Federalist. Have good and productive weekend.

Was reading pages 128-135 in the text also part of the homework? I don't see it on the blog, but it's in my planner.

Charlotte,

Your homework is as follows:
1. finish your bibliography
2. Read the Young reading
3. Read and answer the questions for the Federalist.

Hey Carlisle, I'm going to be late to class on Monday, I forgot to tell you during the week. I have a dentist app. at 9, so I should be in class around 9:30-9:40.

Mr. Carlisle,

I have a question about the bibliography. How do you want us to include the information on where we found the source and if it's primary or secondary? I was thinking I would just put something like [Tigard Public Library, Primary] after each source. Is that how you want it?

Thanks,
Stephen

I have not been able to find out book refrences to my IA topic. It is, how did the launch of sputnik effect public education. All that I have found is that they bought new text books and made new oppertunities for people to be scientists. All of that was on one website. Is is too narrow?

Micah,

No problem.

Stephen,

Yes.

Andy,

Are you telling me you only have ONE source!?!?!?!?! That's not good since your bibliography is due in two days. This is the kind of stuff I need to know well in advance. I don't know what to tell you if that's the case. Perhaps you should get a new whole topic.

Hey Carlise, I'm working on the Federalist paper homework, and I can't find the "tyranny of the majority" anywhere in the paper, and I have read it at least 6 times.

So is the "tyranny of the majority" an idea in the paper, or does it say that somewhere in there...

I put a bunch of books on hold and they've all been shipped to Tigard but only 4 of them have arrived. I bet the rest will come on Monday or Tuesday. Should I put them on my bibliography right now using the library's citation even though I don't know how useful they are?

Micah,

An idea. Look over the part where Madison discusses the power of the majority.

Charlotte,

Go ahead and put them in your bibliography. You can always go back and change your bibliography.

I just want to see what you all have in order to push you slowly but surely towards finishing the IA.

Hey Carlisle! I was just wondering if on the Bibliography we also had to say what we know so far about our topic. Or do we just give you the topic question and bibliography?
