I'm a native South Carolinian and I attained my undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. I taught fourth grade for two years in the Mississippi Delta and two years at an alternative high school in Western North Carolina. I have been at Tigard High School since the fall of 2003, where I teach U.S. History and Psychology.

You should read "Revolutionary Suicide" by Huey Newton. It's very well written and describes why he believed in what he did and why he did what he did very well. That cat was smart, he had a PhD.

well, the ten points were pretty reasonable demands. exept a few things, like free health care. i kinda think thats pushing it, since its giving african americans something that whites didnt have. they should be fighting for equality instead of being treated special with free health care

As Will said the ten points are pretty reasonable except for the free health care and freedom of all incarcerated black people... there were probably some that were actually criminals... so I mean the ones arrested because of civil rights protests should be freed buy I'm not quite so sure about any other imprisoned African-American

i think that they should have deserved their freedom and everything they wanted since they have suffered so much, but its not reasonable that they wanted immediate change. white people couldnt be racist one day, and the next day not be. it's ridiculous since change takes time!
and free health care? hmmm.
well maybe for a certain period of time since they were deprived of it, but thats it.
