INTERNAL ASSESSMENTS ARE DUE AT 9:00 PM TONIGHT
Well they went and did it. Five snow days. Wonderful. For everyone that wanted school closed today you got your wish, however, I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANY COMPLAINTS WHEN WE ARE IN SCHOOL IN LATE JUNE.
SUBMITTING INTERNAL ASSESSMENTS: TWO OPTIONS:
1. EMAIL YOUR IA TO ME BY 9:00PM TONIGHT: Please make sure your file says "Doc" and not "Docx". THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR EMAIL MUST READ--"IA-FINAL DRAFT". A FORMER/FUTURE STUDENT HAS DIRECTIONS FOR THOSE OF WITH THE 2007 VERSION OF WORD. CHECK THE COMMENTS.
2. IF ROAD CONDITIONS ALLOW IT, DROP YOUR IA OFF AT THE TIGARD PUBLIC LIBRARY TODAY-THEY CLOSE AT 9:00. I WOULD REALLY PREFER IF YOU COULD DROP YOUR IA OFF IF CONDITIONS ALLOW IT.
THANKS TO THOSE OF YOU WHO ALREADY TURNED IN YOUR IA AT THE LIBRARY.
I MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE YOUR IAs GRADED WHEN WE RETURN FROM OUR ENDLESS WINTER BREAK. YOU WILL TAKE YOUR DBQ WHEN WE RETURN TO SCHOOL IN 2009.
That is all at this time.

Tip for those with Word 2007:
By default Word 2007 WILL save in .docx format. As is expected from Microsoft, this format is absolutely incompatible with any version of Word that is not 2007.
TO save it in the format used by every OTHER version of word (.doc):
Click the Office logo/button/menu thing
Roll over "Save As"
Click "Word 97-2003 Document"
Save it like you normally would.
Done!
Why they decided to make an entirely new format is beyond me, though. I've only come across like 2 new features in this version of Word that could warrant such a change. Even then, though, you could still get around it pretty easily.
Oh well, Microsoft will be Microsoft and will never cease to further complicate our lives. Such is life.

I hope you enjoy your break, Mr. Carlisle! And hey, if there was school today you would have a BUNCH of grumpy kids to deal with. So at least be thankful that you don't have to deal with that.
6:22 AM
I hate to burst your bubble Carlisle but I already knew since SUNDAY that there would simply just be no school =p I guess Hayleigh's prophecies were correct!
STAY warm...my heater just went out! YIKES! See you in January!
6:38 AM
Thanks for the Word tip Casey, you rock.
Good Charlotte,
Perhaps. Now I will have to deal with grumpy kids until July.
Ashley,
See you next year.

I already uploaded it to Turnitin.com last night because I thought we had school. . .

Allie,
Nothing will happen to it until THS's account is updated. No worries. Just make sure you either email me your IA or drop it off at the library.
