Thanks for assuring no reading quiz. I don't know if I will have time to get to the textbook reading.

Good night!

SENIORS still graduate on the 6th right... they can't take that away from us.
O and i've decided I'm not going. I live .75 miles away and its already sure icy and snowy. I drove up to the high school and came back down the same way I went up and my track were already covered within 5-7 minutes.

TTSD is Lame. Why go to school for 1 day? And yes, I'd rather yall make it up.
MUAHAHAHAHA(kinda sound like the guy infront of me Carlisle. :-/)

I see no point in going to school for 1 day. We already had 4 days off, there is really no good reason to go. And up on bull mtn. it is really really icy. I just took my dog outside for a walk and fell twice, and i also saw a car tht was swirving side to side and in fact almost hit me. So, i would just not open school tomorrow!!

yes. what is the point. I mean does the super live at the school or where? carlisle I need and address, I'm going to protest and be a non-conformist!

Considering all the students want there to be NO school tomorrow. You'd have to want school to be non-conformist.

Malamphy,

I agree with Casey.

Narintohn,

Whoa, let me think on that. Okay nerds, you guys can continue debating snow day vs. non-snow day without me. I'm going to read about Andrew Jackson.

SEE YOU ALL TOMORROW!

I just got this off of Weather.com

ANOTHER SLOPPY FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL SPREAD A WINTRY MIX OF PRECIPITATION INTO THE METRO AREA BEGINNING SATURDAY AND CONTINUING THROUGH THE DAY SUNDAY. THIS STORM HAS THE POTENTIAL TO DROP SIGNIFICANT AMOUNTS OF SNOW OVER THE AREA. STILL QUITE A BIT OF UNCERTAINTY ON AMOUNTS...THOUGH 6 TO 12 INCHES SEEMS REASONABLE.

Emphasis mine.

... 6-12"? In the Metro Area? Dear God.

If it magically drops to like 20degrees, it could freeze over.
My littlest brother was doing a snow dance, so maybe that will help too...hmmm...
See ya tommorow Carlisle.

If the high tomorrow is 30°F like they say it will be, they won't have school. Roads will be too icy with no chance of a thaw (or at least no chance before 9).

From the Beaverton School District Public Safety Office.

"Good evening, no decision will be made regarding the status of school operations until Friday morning. Our greatest concern at this time is the possibility of black ice on side roads and at higher elevations. A team will be driving the roads at 3:30 a.m., and a decision will be posted before 5:30 a.m. Thank you again for your patience as we continue to monitor the safety of our students and staff."

Apparently they are having a car drive around in the middle of the night and see if they get in a accident.

TTSD couldn't have picked a worse time to announce anything.

I was literally on my way out the door when I checked for the last time to see if we were on delay, and I find this:

It's actually snowing here in SE Portland right now <_< I actually didn't know that my house was about 60' higher up than the school until I looked it up 30 minutes ago.

I'm really annoyed at the district for making this decision so late. Granted I'd be more annoyed if they had made it 5 minutes later and I was already out the door with no way to know that school was canceled until I got there. Thereby wasting over 3 hours of my life for no reason whatsoever.
