Hey Carlisle,
I've missed the past two days, sorry. I'm caught up on the readings and all that jazz. I was wondering if there'll be a alternative assignment for the Jefferson/Hamilton presentations.
I hope the class has kept up the energy since Monday.
See you tomorrow.

Anna,

You missed a reading quiz today. Please make sure you read tonight. Make sure you get the notes from today's class. Very important stuff in there.

You didn't lose any points on the AH/TJ assignment, don't sweat it. Just get the notes from Lauren or Nicole or Kaytie. Hope to see you tomorrow.

Carlisle.

I forgot to tell you some very important information that I should have let you know. That is: I have to leave early tomorrow for cross country districts. I have to reading, and all that good stuff. I'll talk to you tomorrow on what to look over for the Socratic (spelling?) Seminar.

Peace out.

hey Carlisle,
what was the name of that book you were telling us about? sounded interesting, I think I read an article about that guy once. Sounded though like he was practicing Jewish laws. The stoning thing was in the old testament. And no matter how litteral you take everything in the bible, the new testament (after Jesus came) is still clear that the laws of the old testament are done away with since Jesus took care of everything on the cross. (the book of Romans has a ton about this). So if he followed the old testament for a year I could see why he did what he did, but if he was following the entire bible.. he didn't read the new testament very carefully.
I'd like to look at that book though

Is there a limit to how many posts can be put on this page? I think we should try and flood the system... Just for fun.

Mr. Carlisle, I wanted to let you know, that we just had a world lit essay, and when making a header for it and writing, "Townzen" It would always come up underlined for misspelling. When you click to fix it, the first thing on the list is, "Townshend Acts"... I thought that was pretty good.

"MRH" I think the blog hit 50 posts on one entry, for the IA topics I think...

hey, i disagree with the statement that Jesus came and abolished the laws of the old testament. in matthew 5:17 it clearly states that "...i have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them..." it goes on to say that not a word of the law will dissapear. He upheld the ten commandments which are a big part of old testament law.

Dr. Carlizzle,
I don't find it very fair that you always call Charlotte cool names. I think that you should treat everyone equally and give us all dumb names to call us. It would make your class interesting lol. Thomas Jefferson was indeed the founder of the fast food chain known today as Carl's Jr. They're first big hit was surprisingly enough, the quail and cheese sandwich. All in all, TJ pwns

Haley,

"Obviously, the law applies to those whom it was given, for its purpose is to keep people from having excuses, and to show that the entire world is guilty before God. For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are. But now God has given us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are."

-Romans 3: 19-22
