Internal Assessment Update

1. Make sure you upload your IA to turnitin.com. Failure to do so by midnight tonight will result in a ten percent reduction in your overall grade.

2. Turning in a late IA will result in the following:
A. automatic fifteen percent reduction in your overall grade
B. five percent off of your overall grade for each calendar day it's late
C. if the IA is not turned in until Monday, January 4, 2010, the maximum grade a student may earn is 100 points on the IA.

3. Email me your IA as soon as possible over the break in order to avoid major point reductions.

More IA Tips

1. Please make sure you write about things in Part B in the past tense. Remember, you are discussing events that happened in the PAST.

2. For Part D, pick three main points to discuss in your analysis. Write this section like an essay question. You won't have a ton of citations in this part of your IA.

3. Make sure you cite ALL of the sources listed in your bibliography at least once. If you cite a particular source 85% of the time, you will lose points in your overall grade. That illustrates to me that you really did not conduct a lot of research from a wide variety of sources.

That is all. Bring any and all questions about the IA to class tomorrow.

Good night and good luck.
