HISTORY

Regarding tonight's reading, McPherson addresses the aftermath of the War with Mexico and how Congress dealt with the new lands acquired from Mexico after the war. California's admission into the union plays a major role in the reading. There's also discussion of a major compromise regarding California and the issue of slavery. READ CAREFULLY.

Thursday night's reading is big. Get prepared for it. I highly suggest reading it in two parts tomorrow night.

I hope this helps. If you have questions about the reading, please don't hesitate to email me.
